“Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour.” –John Boswell

Let it snow, let it snow, let it gooooo (😉)

Celebrating - ARCs have gone out and…

However you celebrate, I hope you are ready for the season. I somehow managed to get all of my kids xmas presents before the start of December, which was a tiny miracle.

ARCs have gone out! I can’t believe that I hit send on the ARC campaign. It seems like just yesterday we’d hit an editing snafu and life was “lifeing”. But here we are! Shattered will be out February 17th, 2026. Preorder here!

I am so excited for Shattered to be out in the world.  On a related note, I want to share some exciting news!

What’s new? (because I can’t keep still…)

I have set some goals for myself for next year. life willing, I am hoping to get them done! I’ll be working on the fourth book in the Fractured Realm as well as a new, and unplanned, installment  : Bear and Grey are getting their own book! It will be a novella that will dive deeper into their past relationship, as well as give the readers some insight on what has been going on in the world while Caet was off in Tangrid. It will be a 3.5 of sorts, something to be read after Shattered but before book four. As a point of reference, it will not be required material to understand what’s going on in the fourth book.

Both titles will be revealed soon!

In even more news, since I have zero chill, I have also started the first book in another Dark Fantasy Romance/Dark Romantacy series. More information to come soon!

Taking a breather (which is a tough one to remember…)

Despite how busy life is,  I still plan to take time to myself. So should you!  Self-care is the best thing you can do to help yourself and those around you. Some of my favorite ways to unwind  are hanging with the kids, couch rotting with a good book, napping (always napping), and going to the gym. Other relaxing activities help, but those have been my top go to’s lately.

Honoring the season (recognizing the light in the darkness)

The world often seems like it's on fire, and it often is. But the winter solstice is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere ), and holidays have surrounded us with their light. The days are slowly getting longer and the light is shining more brightly every single day. For those in the Southern Hemisphere on the opposite side of this coin, may you look forward to the light returning in June 🖤.

One of my favorite activities is decorating. Whether it be for general seasons, Halloween, or the holidays (which for us is Xmas), I live for it. Xmas trees are my FAVORITE and my house puts them on full display, from two inch tall mini trees to seven foot live trees.

I also have every single one of my Xmas stuffed animals from childhood. My house looks like an explosion of Xmas, serving as a beacon of light and hope for me and my kids. We decorate together, talk about the previous year, and share wishes for the 12 months ahead. As the lights burn bright,  we like to hang out around the trees, read, watch TV, etc.

Events

December 27, 2025: Book signing at Barnes and Noble Farmington, from 12 to 4 pm

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!

~ Ciar

PS. If you read and enjoyed Fractured and/or Broken, it'd mean the world to me if you could post a review either on Goodreads or Amazon

Thank you so much!
