Time For Something New

Adapting - (you’ve got this!)

Change is a frustrating yet rewarding part of life. Sometimes, I hate it. At other times, I welcome it and enjoy the possibilities it brings. While finalizing Shattered and sending it off to my editor this summer, I realized that Fractured needed a few changes. The series needed new covers. After some mini headaches along the way, I found an amazing artist. I’m happy to share new covers for Fractured and Broken below. I’ll reveal the Shattered cover soon. I hope you love them as much as I do! The print size and themes will be the same, so they will still look good next to the original covers.

The other changes are very small fixes in Fractured, including Caet’s age. I am advancing her age from seventeen to twenty two at the start of the book. When I first published Fractured, I was advised to keep her age the same, even though my gut said to change it. I’ve since adjusted my stance and the new viewpoint serves the story much better. The rest of the changes are small typo fixes. None of the changes alter the plot; they may even enhance it! 😀

Celebrating - every day is a cause for celebration 🥳

Shattered is with my editor. I can’t wait for you all to be able to read it! The cover will be revealed by the end of September and ARCs will be sent out in October.

To celebrate the occasion, the first two books will be in one final and free “stuff your kindle/e-reader” event!

If you haven’t read Fractured and Broken yet, the above event is a great way to get your hands on both books! Both are in KU as well.

Overcoming - when does it end?

Let’s all take a deep breath together. I know you need it. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Summer was great. I got to spend it with my kids. We went to the beach, visited Six Flags, and enjoyed other activities together. Amid the sparks of joy, my car also died and my windshield on the new car needed to be replaced. Several other things may, or may not have, caused some meltdowns.

One thing that always gets me through the ups and downs of it all, besides my amazing friends and family–love you all–is knowing that tomorrow is a different day. It’s important to live in the moment. Stress and negative emotions will pass through, but you can’t let them drag you down.

Taking a breather

On that note, sit down and relax. I’ve been reading to reset my brain and prepare to write book four! Currently, I’m reading and loving When the Moon Hatched as well as two ARCs. Mostly, I’ve been giving myself permission to rest.

You should too.

Behind the scenes

And behind in general 😂 Summer was supposed to be easy, it was not but shit still got done! ARC welcome emails will be going out soon, but in case you’re worried, everyone that signed up will be receiving an ARC 😀

Speaking of being busy, I feel like sports never end. Soccer season has started and I’m already exhausted just looking at the schedule. At the same time, I’m just as excited to watch my kids play and enjoy the fall weather in New England. I’ll be at several events coming up:

Events

In person

September 14 - Glastonbury Barnes & Noble

September 20 - Anima/Animus Tattoo

Virtual

Happy fall! Enjoy the changing seasons and remember to take care of yourself. You can’t take care of anyone else until you do. 😊

~ Ciar

PS. If you read and enjoyed Fractured and/or Broken, it'd mean the world to me if you could post a review either on Goodreads or Amazon

Thank you so much!
